You should come in and talk to the people inside. You could make an appointment.
Friendly service but overrated desserts. The black and white cookie I chose was not very good at all but the wife's ice cream was good.
Charming neighborhood cafe and sweet shop, family friendly and cozy
I have been there several times & the ice cream is always delicious. Love looking at the old toys there.
Enjoyed the coffee on a cold day!
Amazing flavors, fresh, kids love it, nice area, and just so happy to have a salt and straw in la now! I use to only get it in Portland. Parking can be difficult, but it's a great spot to Kill time instead of being in traffic. I love the lavender honey my kids make fun of me cause I've never ordered anything else, but they change it up and have never been disappointed.
This place never disappoints! Me and my fiance love their homemade pies. They have a huge selection of food dishes along with desserts! Inside is decorated with old toys and movie memorabilia, its super cute!
They have gluten-free ice cream cones and a great selection of Double Rainbow ice creams!
Terrific ice cream parlor that also has a zillion coffee and tea drinks plus a food menu, you really want to try the Killer Brownie Sundae and/or the Key Lime Pie both of which are totally legit. You can walk by over and over to admire the vintage toys for sale in the window but it's high up above the counters where you'll find the coolest stuff. Added bonus: you can also have a great time here without kids!
Great place and cozy for laid back people. Good food and price.
Looks like a great toy collectors cafe!
This place is interesting. Ice cream, food, coffee and throw back toys for sale. And lots of tables. I love it
Best cakes around. Can be kinda loud if there's a lot of kids in the store. All the toys can be purchased!
It is awesome that this place is open late. My partner and i went and grabbed ice cream after dinner.
Cute little place, great for a coffee or a no-fuss breakfast, lunch, or brunch!
Absolutely loved the desserts. Brownies are out of this world! Not dry and not too sweet, made daily. Service was terrible.... But who cares when it's this good!
Disappointed grainy textured ice cream. Avoid mint & cookie dough!!!
Great dessert menu and unique shop for toys. A lot of flavors to choose from the ice cream line up it's like I want it all feeling. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed a breakfast burrito and a mango smoothie very satisfying
Absolutely amazing place to get desert and very child friendly. They have a lot of old and vintage toys both for sale and scenery. I've gone here for several years since I was a young girl and have never had a bad experience. My daughter had a wonderful time. I will definitely be coming back here again.
Yummy ice cream and baked goods, with super helpful staff! All in a fun little shop.
Love the atmosphere! Great icecream shop for all ages, kids will love it. And great icecream so that's a plus!
Fast, good service, cool classic place. Great staff and tasty flavors.
There are ice cream parlors and dessert cafés... and then there's Toy Boat. It's a great place to sit back, relax and have a slice of seasonal pie, a black and tan or a monster-sized banana split. And if you don't have a sweet tooth, there are plenty of savory items on the menu. It's a fun stop that'll hit the spot!
You need to go to this amazing ice cream parlor! They play Dropkick Murphys as you order your ice cream!
Fun toys on display, good coffee.
Service great. Ice cream mediocre. Nothing like Mitchell's ice cream..
The inside looks cool, but there are a couple oddities. They use paper straws for their floats, so at the end your straw is soggy and kind of nasty. Also they don't flame the top of the creme brule... So it is just a pile of sugar on top which makes it really sweet. There was also water in the bottom of the creme brule...
A local Institution. Really great Double Rainbow ice cream is locally made. Sandwiches and coffee too. Recently I saw they had pastries from Devil's Teeth bakery. Many of the classic toys on the wall are for sale.
Did someone say Cinnamon tres leches ice cream, Oh yes they did. For some reason today I strayed off the norm of my Blue Bottle Vietnamese coffee flavor. Honestly I dont think you can wrong with any flavor. The staff is super friendly. I love this location because I get to walk around the mission a little. The Ferry Building location is also worth trying.
Great service, great hot chocolate
Museum of toys and a dessert bar on top of it. Never been blown away by the quality, but it's a perfect comfort spot.
Dutch apple pie was delicious warm. Pot of jasmine tea had lukewarm water. Grasshopper ice cream was tasty but too melty for me. (I like my ice cream more frozen and firm.) Service was friendly enough - very SF. Interesting decor with lots to look at (vintage toys, posters, etc.)
Got to love a spot that sources local ingredients! Not to mention the ice cream was sooo good. A really kind worker welcomed us and offered samples. He had such good suggestions we went with them after tasting the goodness. Got to say I'm not the biggest ice cream person but hey, this place isn't jus ice cream.. I think it's like a little bit of heaven. Totally kid and adult approved!
Cool spot with friendly staff and vintage toys for sale. A lot of ice cream flavors to try, but ty to time your visit as seating can get limited!
Fudge caramel cheesecake was amazing! fudge brownie sundae very tasty. Only took a star off b/c the rap music was off character for the kid friendly atmosphere.
Great little place to grab a tasty bite, a little pricey but nothing out of the norm
Just come and see it by yourself. Carrot cake 7.5 out of 10.
Toy boat is a gem on clement street. Delicious ice cream, milkshakes, and even more savory lunch items to enjoy. The place itself is so cozy and cute, lined with old toys and collectibles reminiscent of childhood. The staff here is amazing As well ; particularly a young girl with short red hair. She was so friendly and never made me feel like I was just another customer. Great job toy boat !
great ice cream and novelty store. real candy as well as eye candy everywhere! your senses will need a nap after a visit here. the best! good service. overpriced but worth it!
Always great sandwiches and ice cream and a fun selection of eccentric and rare toys on display.
the key lime pie is better than the beatles
Simply the best dessert shop in the Richmond. It’s a challenge not to go here right before they close on a Friday night. They sell the classic toys on the walls too. A neighborhood institution for decades, I hope for decades more!
The inside was amazing. Ton of posters, art and toys hanging from the wall. I couldn't stop looking around. I got a milk shake in a mason jar that was delicious. I tired some of their old fashion chocolate cake which was huge and amazing. The picture doesn't do the cake justice. Trust me the slice of cake is huge.
A classic dessert shop - they serve ice cream, sundaes, cakes, pies and coffee drinks. It's a really cute shop with an 80s feel. There are about 10 tables, also some seats along the wall that can accommodate larger groups.
Best pies and ice cream. Have good wraps for a quick lunch as well as salads and other delicious choices. Love checking out all the vintage toys.
So many crazy flavors!! Fun toys that are all for sale too! Great staff and service. A fun place to visit after eating at one of the restaurants nearby.
Take a trip back in time. Good old fashion ice cream n desert shop. Service and atmosphere are great. It was a nice day, so we asked if we could move a table and some chairs outside and was told, sure, as long as we returned them. Parking is not bad. Great place.
My first visit on 8/9/2019 won't be my last! Delightful and clean shop, great customer service and the best smoothie ("Tropico") I've had in a long time. Many choices and lots of cool stuff to look at. My friends all enjoyed what they had as well. Definitely a keeper!
Atmosphere was really nice here. I had a lovely lunch on a Saturday afternoon, very relaxing and pleasant. The decorations and vintage toys are really neat. The only problem- the chicken sandwich I ordered was so salty it was almost unpleasant to eat. I'll assume that was a fluke, though!
Amazing kitschy ice cream parlor serving delightful treats in a nostalgic setting. Really enjoyed their shakes with a shot of espresso, as well as their snarky humor. There is even a mechanical pony ride for the little ones.
